If you live in Texas, you know that Fall in Central Texas may look a little different than fall somewhere further north, but there's still something special about this time of year. The evenings finally get a little cooler, the light gets beautiful and golden, and families start thinking about holiday cards, updated family photos, and documenting another year together. If you've been thinking about scheduling family photos but don't want to commit to a longer session, a fall family mini session might be exactly what you're looking for! Despite our faux-fall in Texas, here are five reasons we love fall mini sessions, and why they might be a great fit for YOUR family!
1) They are quick and easy.
Let's be honest: getting everyone ready for family photos can feel like an event all by itself. A mini session keeps things as simple as we can make it for you and your crew.
Our Fall Family Minis are just 15 minutes, giving us enough time to capture a variety of natural family moments without asking your kids to spend a lifetime taking pictures.
It's a great option for families who want beautiful, updated photographs without a long time commitment!
2) Fall photos are perfect for holiday cards.
If you've been meaning to update your family photos before the holidays, fall is a great time to do it!
A fall session gives you plenty of time to select your favorite images and get your holiday cards ordered before December arrives. And even if you aren't sending cards this year, you'll have updated photographs to share with family as gifts, or order some large prints and display them in your home!
3) You don't need a special occasion.
You don't need a milestone, birthday, or big announcement to have family photos taken.
Sometimes, the best reason is simply: You want to remember your family exactly as they are right now (yes, the good, the crazy, and the absolutely lovely)
